Port Aventura: Furius Baco & Stampida (Spain)

Port Aventura is a Spanish themepark situated in Salou-Villa Seca. The park is one of the biggest in Europe. The themepark has had the honour to receive several awards, including "Best Live Show in the world." As of 2002, Port Aventura also features a aquapark, "Caribe Aquatic Park."

Furius Baco

The Furius Baco is a steel rollercoaster in Port Aventura. It is a rocket coaster with an acceleration of 0 to 135 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The ride is a world first and one of the fastest rollercoasters in Europe.

Stampida

The Stampida is a wooden rollercoaster in Port Aventura, with many drops and two tunnels. It  actually includes two parallel tracks on which two trains, a blue and a red one, ride at the same time.

The Furius Baco and the Stampida are two of the first rollercoasters in which the Camride®-system of Lagotronics is installed -  small cameras are mounted in each chair and at the front and back of the trains. During the ride each participant is filmed. The footage is automatically edited into a movie by the Camride®-system and displayed on large flatscreens at the exit of the ride. Visitors can buy a DVD with their personal movie directly. A unique memory of the thrill ride.
