Stadsfeestzaal (Belgium)

The "Stadsfeestzaal" (city event venue) is one of the most noteworthy projects in 2007 for Lagotronics.

The stadsfeestzaal in Antwerp (Belgium), which was destroyed by fire in 2000, reopened its doors to the public on October 25, 2007. Those who have visited the venue in the past will most likely feel sheer nostalgia. The venue was restored in all its splendour with the utmost respect for its historical details and extraordinary ambiance, but without ignoring possible modern improvements. Lagotronics collaborated with its distributor RGB-LED BVBA on this project.

With its extraordinary architectural design, the contemporary Alexis Glamour Food bar is the first thing that catches the eye upon entering the awe-inspiring building. Extensive use is made of Lagotronics's LED lighting. Lagotronics has been developing LED products and related technologies since 1997. Lagotronics's products beat their counterparts from competitors thanks to their high quality, long life span, high light output and low energy consumption. The central bar (in the shape of a horse) can change colours per field thanks to the installation of some 2000 DecaLED® RGB modules and 30 DecaLED® Controllers 1, adding to the unique ambiance in the main hall.

Another eye-catcher in the main hall is the champagne-shaped Laurent Perrier bar, with a stunning view over the floating terrace. For this project, Lagotronics produced 500 prints with a customised 1W Luxeon PowerLED. These were placed to create a 'champagne bubble effect' underneath the glass floor. Groups of six LEDs can be controlled separately by using the 6 DecaLED® High Power DMX Controller TV's.
