Isla Mágica: Capitán Balas (Spain)

Isla Mágica is a Spanish amusement park located near Sevilla. The park takes its visitors on a journey through the 16th century. It has eight differently themed areas, each focussing on another aspect. The park's slogan reads "Diez años de emociones. Diez años de tu vida", which means "Ten years of thrills. Ten years off your life".

In 2007, Lagotronics worked on a brand new ride called Capitán Balas. This family-oriented interactive dark ride was opened in honour of the park's 10th anniversary. The ride is some 150 metres long and takes the visitor through various pirate-themed scenes. As many as 144 LagoTRIG® targets were installed on the ride's sets. The targets, which are based on LED technology, are waterproof and can flash and change colours when they are hit by one of the 28 guns. Every cart has a capacity of four participants. There is a high-quality LagoTRIG® gun available for every participant on the ride. In addition, a display is installed next to every seat showing feedback and scores. The vehicles also contain control boards, which are operated wirelessly from the central computer. This computer, a 19" industrial version equipped with a 17" touch screen, is located in the ride's control room.
