Europapark: Abenteuer Atlantis (Germany)

Europapark in Rust (near Freiburg) is among the largest amusement parks in Germany. In 2007, Lagotronics realized a large-scale LagoTRIG® installation in the park, making optimal use of the system's fully modular nature.

On the Abenteuer Atlantis ride, we installed 95 waterproof, multi-coloured targets. On its carts we mounted a total of 122 guns, which can trigger targets, and 120 displays showing scores and feedback. In addition, moving parts, lighting and operating hardware and software were installed -- the latter requiring the placement of an industrial 19" computer with a 17" LCD screen in the ride's control room.

The LagoTRIG® system, as used in Europapark, provides the visitor with all kinds of feedback. Aside from flashing targets, which is a standard feature of these installations, the LagoTRIG® targets also change colours when they are hit. In addition, scores are directly shown on the displays on the cart and on the monitors at the exit of the ride. This enhances the participant's experience and provides a new challenge every time.
