Leedjesaovend 2008

On the 4th of October, Lagotronics produced the Opus Jocus Leedjesaovend 2008 (evening of songs in Venlo dialect) for the seventh time. This famous regional event is organized by VVE Jocus, Omroep Venlo and Lagotronics BV. During the Leedjesaovend, the best carnival song from Venlo is elected for the upcoming 'vastelaovend'.

Winners of Leedjesaovend 2006 and LVK 2007, Bram Holla and Ruud Stikkelbroeck, again won first prize this year. The song "Hallekiedallekiedeej", written by Frans Pollux ended convincingly in first place. More than 800 guests in the hall and an estimated number of 60,000 TV viewers were witness to this victory.
Second place was taken by the song "Ozzen druim", sung by newcomers Anne Marieke Leurs and Bart Janssen. "Geld wie water, hand mit gater" ended third while "De stad van idderein", also written by Pollux, ended in fourth place.
Production and lighting
Lagotronics took care of everything technical as well as the decor lighting, general lighting and served as production manager. Spectacular part of the decor this year was the integration of the curveLED system. Using the curveLED system, a curved videowall was created through which artists, presenters and guests entered the stage.
Due to the good contacts Lagotronics has with professional companies with which Lagotronics cooperates on major Dutch TV programs, the leedjesaovend could be broadcasted live in the municipality of Venlo. An additional benefit was that these parties could ensure high quality recording and broadcasting. Lagotronics is proud to be able to use its extensive network for a local event.
