Italian design with LEDs
15-10-2008
For its 30th anniversary, our Italian distributor Audio Pro Group held a party for its personnel and guests on the domain of Villa Reale in Monza, Italy.
The Villa Reale ("royal villa") was originally built by Piermarini in 1777 for the archduke Ferdinand of Austria. It lies in Monza on the banks of the river Lambro, surrounded by its park, which is one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe.
For the occasion, the entire facade of the villa was lit by means of 65 DecaLED® Color Bar 36's and 40 DecaLED® Color Wash 36's. Both products are resistant to moisture and dust, earning them an IP65 certification. Combined with the enormous light output provided by 36 Luxeon LEDs per fixture, homogeneous RGB-colour mixing and control by DMX resulted in an amazing sight. The light designers combined the lighting of the building with that of the stage, on which various artists performed. These effects greatly contributed to the ambiance of the festivities organised by APG.
