DecaLED Rebel Modules in Holland Casino

The interiour of Holland Casino Utrecht has been redecorated by LightCo Nederland BV with new lighting elements. The interior, designed by M+R interieurarchitecten and Kroeze interieurbouw, has been upgraded with a number of curved walls with varying heights.
The walls are composed of two layers of acrylic with a special gold and silver foil on it. Between the walls 418 DecaLED® Rebel Modules (20° x 40° lenses) were fitted which can illuminate the walls in any desired colour. The modules are controlled by 37 DecaLED® Rebel Drivers (up to 12 modules per driver). During the evening the walls which elegantly enclose the poker pit and VIP section slowly change colour within a carefully defined pallette.
In addition to the DecaLED® Rebel Modules in the walls, a number of other LED products are used to accentuate specific parts of the interior. For example, DecaLED Cove® Flex RGB was installed in a large stainless steel pillar, and various gaming machines and seats are illuminated by DecaLED® Flex warm white.
This installation using Rebel LEDs is a first. Rebel LEDs are only recently released by manufacturer Luxeon. By deploying its own R&D department, Lagotronics is able to integrate well in advance the latest technology into new products. The Rebel LEDs are a new generation of power LEDs, which in time will replace the famous Luxeon LED. Rebel LEDs are smaller, more efficient and have a slightly higher yield than Luxeon LEDs. These benefits and the design of the DecaLED® Rebel Modules makes the product ideal for illuminating large acrylic panels from one side, such as those used in Holland Casino Utrecht.
